Annual income tax filing of returns is a bit of a bother.
Never mind how simple it is to file ( thats the claim), after a futile self attempt, I am at CA’ s door. He has to do the mess clearup contributed by me and set it right, while there is hardly any indirect or complex income.
I was anxious, the deadline is right on my head and with no news from the CA office, I called them.
Since you are doing intraday trading in the stock market you come under business category, form ITR 3, your last date is August 31. Dont worry Sir.
When I was looking forward to worry free days after July 31, it got postponed.
Intraday trading, I was just doing more for fun than making any money. And lo, it put me into a business class.
The filing was finally done, with a slight overall profit (mind you it is not the money, it is the fun) in intra day giving me a satisfaction of not paying any tax for trading. The little joys in life.
After filing the retuns successfully, went on a four day trip to kollur and udipi with my cousins and inlaws of my daughter ( both being same), that way we were 4 of us, you can figure it out how 4.
We went to Malpe beach, at Udipi in the evening around 4.30, warm, sunny, intermitent drizzle, cool breeze, a nice combo .
They had wire fenced it for safety reasons until the month of September and prevented us from weting our feet in the water, however enjoyed a walk in the sand.

The handsome Sun looked down at us saying wait for an hour before I flash my splendour at the setting.
After an hour a few clouds joined the party and sun went behind hiding itself mocking and depriving us of its magnificence during the farewell.
There was a statue of Gandhi ji, with his back to the west side, hope the sun is not upset.

We part ways, Cousins towards Kerala and the two of us to Bangalore.
The train journey to Bangalore from Mangalore was in a Vistadome coach.
The coach with its broad glass pane windows and roof tops gives a panoramic view of the beautiful greeneries of the western ghats.
Couple of seats in evrry row can be turned around 360 degrees. You have to make sure you and your partner are on good terms because you cant turn a chair one way and the other the other way.
The pictures I had taken are missing from my cell phone,
So I am posting an image from the internet, just to give you an idea how it looks.
For the train its a challenge run between subramanya road and Sakleshpur, the hilly terrain.

We are back at our place, just the two of us among a lot of vacant space left empty by our dear ones, kids, grand kids and relatives.
Here is your space and time, now what ?
When you have things to do, you are waiting for it to be over, and you have nothing to do, you are guilty of doing nothing and wasting time, time once gone stays gone.
Why should I do something ? Why cant I just do nothing ?
Well, thats what I did, nothing. Physically, yes, but your mind ? How do I sit and think of nothing ? I learnt it is the thoughts that create stress, not the physical work. The physical work may tire you, it is the thought that how much work one is doing that creates the stress.
Thoughts are the lightest thing in the world, like dust which hardly requires any opening, floats into your mind.
I sat there, closed my eyes, focussed on my breathing, in out, in, out … made it deep, and started sensing it at tip of my nose. However, the thoughts, random, did not stop. Then I started observing my thoughts and said go away and stopped their entry, the problem was another one appeared. When you start sending them away, the rush becomes lean and the frequency reduces.
Not bad, that can freshen you up a bit. If done at night, it can give you a good sleep.
When my friend tells me, Raj, you can write anything from nothing, I was wondering, whether my writings are hollow.
Now I am waiting to hear what will he say when he reads this, about nothing.
You came with nothing, chase everything, leave with nothing
When I told my spouse, I did nothing today, she said, thats what you have been doing everyday.

Thank you Rajen.Pleasant reading.“ you can write lot from nothing” – that exactly is what we need now to enjoy.Ramachandran

Love, LOVED reading this. Never stop writing about nothing, which always turns into something I love (did I mention love?) reading.
Very best to you & yours
Cool and nice writing Mr Menon sir. “Nothing” is a big topic to write about, in fact. You have done good credit to Nothing. Keep the ink flowing. Cheers!
