Year 1996, the chief of ALLDATA, an Autozone company, threw an idea of outsourcing the data processing of electronic conversion of Repair information of cars manufactured in the US. They did not know how it was possible and who would take it forward but one hand went up. It was Tim Dietler.
To cut a long story short, he evaluated companies in Russia and India. Finally he narrowed down to two companies and the winner to do business with ALLDATA was BFL, which later merged with MphasiS. Some wonderful people like B.V. Venkatesh (BVV), BG balakrishnan (BGB), M. Radhakrishnan (MRK), Gopal , Balasubramanyam and others won the respect and trust of Tim.
Later the centre continued to flourish under the encouragement of Jerry Rao, Bhaskar Menon, Ramesh Padmanabhan, Alok Mishra, Milind Chalisgaonkar, Alok Sethi, Sandeep Dhar, Milind Godbole (MG) and Elango.
Nobody here knew anything about automobiles. We had Ambassador, Fiat and Maruti on the roads in India during those times. Our strength in computer literacy and ALLDATA’s knowledge of Automobiles lead to a great partnership.
The respect and trust bestowed on the team in India by Jeff Lagges, George Cusack, Joe Nairn, Loren, Russ Story, the great Tim Dietler, to name a few of the members of ALLDATA, enabled the team here to be very effective with process and technology management. The trust was transferred down the line and every individual took up ownership and delivered. The power of trust.
We never had problems, just situations to deal.
13 years, its still on
Thank you ALLDATA, MphasiS-BFL.
First experience
We were playing an inter college tournament. Our team was all out for a poor total. The rival team started off well and looked like winning it easily. My captain, Malhan, handed over the ball to me and said , we are winning this match and you are the one to do it. This trust changed the ball into a grenade in my hands. We won the match. The power of trust.
However
Please do not leave your front door of your house open and go to sleep.
Raj, you forgot to mention one name who stood tall amongst all the names you took – RAJENDRA MENON!
Rajan is like a hidden system file in a computer.
Went through the blog and found very useful. The power of trust is to be experienced. In day to day life we also experience the same. In Oriya we have a saying give the key to a thief with trust he will not steel any thing. I think every one of us have good nature within us. When we evoke the same we do good things. When we trust some body we evoke his good nature and hidden power which helps him in achieving the best.
