I saw an old man in the super market , he looked younger than me, on his T shirt written POSITIWITTY.

I was tempted to ask his name, is it Itty ?

He reminded me of a friend, whom I have not seen for years, his name-Itty.
I used to call him Witty at times, other friends used to call him, pity, Kitty etc and he was always lecturing on being positive.

He was one and may be still is, I do not know, long time no see. Itty is a name found in Kerala, a state in southern part of Bharath.

He asked me what’s my blood group and I said B positive.There you are, you have a head start, born positive. It sounded meaningless, still it excited a bit.

He used to say being positive do not guarantee anything, being negative is a sure shot failure. better to be always positive .

I told him exceptions are like HIV ( this was before Corona days), you would like to be negative. He would reply, you should think positive that you are negative.

One day we were sitting under a tree, near a church premise, when I told him be careful there is a pigeon sitting on top, it may shit on us.

If you are positive you will not be it’s target and the next minute the bird obliged on to him.

Believe it or not it has a poor aim, he said, that’s why I have taken the brunt. I may have laughed my guts out, later I realized that’s positiwitty, humorous reaction to a situation, never mind how negative it may be.

He used to ĺike my one attitude, I realized I have when he mentioned it to me, dealing with losses, everything happens for the good. He quoted some examples, which I don’t remember.

There is always something better coming, looking back in life, there were some admissions and jobs I missed, later turned out to be blessings. A missed bus or flight may create more exciting possibilities.

The only tragedy in life is loss of some dear one by death, irreplaceable. Then time heals and we move on
